A New Start Through Art

If you have experienced trauma then chances are at some point in your life you started having trouble focusing, sleeping, controlling your anger, and much more. With trauma comes the onset of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and many other mental health ailments. Most of us have it, in one form or another. Not only do we not realize it, but most of the time we have absolutely no idea why it's happening or how to make it stop. We have tools to help you. Through the time tested art of hand craft to mindfulness and contemplative practices, we have tools to share with you so that you can retrain your mind and regain control of your life. Take a look inside and see who we are, what we offer, and let us know how we can help.

Paul Kahl-VetCraft

Paul Kahl

Paul and I served together in the Army Reserves when we deployed to Iraq in 2004. I saw his talent then and did not hesitate to invite him to the shop when we ran into each other a few years after we returned home. After seeing the place and learning more about what we are doing he signed up for the program and volunteered to teach anyone that is interested in learning what he knows...which is a lot. Since we moved into our little shop we have been missing a mailbox and I knew it had to be special so I asked paul to work something up. Eric LaBarge-VetCraft

Eric LaBarge

Eric LaBarge is my friend and brother. We met through the guys at veteran Outdoors and struck up a friendship. We then found out we lived about 5 minutes away from each other and the rest, as they say, is history. Eric is the first student to enter the program. While intitally looking to try his hand at welding he decided to strike out on his own and teach himself how to repurpose pallets into furniture and home accents. I am impressed with his ability and creativity and I am looking forward to collaborating with him on some future pieces.
